A 19-year old lady identified as Ifeoma Nelly. has just being
arrested by the Lagos State Police Command, for impersonating Wizkid on
the social media and duping many people of over $65,000 (N12.9million).
She is said to be a student of Industrial Chemistry at the Delta State University. Ifeoma Nelly was reported to have been arrested through the combined efforts of Wizkid’s Manager, Mr. Sunday Are, policemen from Lagos and an Australian. She was arrested when she came to Lagos to collect part payment of $25,000 from some Australians in an, so that Wizkid would go to Australia to perform.
In a recent report filed by a promoting agency Humble Entertainment, they blasted the Ojuelegba crooner for failing to perform at their event despite being paid saying: “Despite going through all the necessary requirements to book Wizkid which included signing a contract and paying the required fee, we have been let down by the booking/management parties.”
On hearing the accusation levied against him, Wizkid’s manager in Nigeria Sunday Are replied the report by denying any form of contact with the Humble Entertainment but immediately informed the commissioner of police that someone has been impersonating his client and duping people.
